We were visiting NYC for the weekend and looking for something local and fun. Too tired to go to club, but willing to have a beer or two and have some fun.

Rudy was PERFECT for our friday night hang- we got there and ordered a pitcher. My brother and I were sharing that beer, dancing, watching people having a great time! I loved that non tourist ish vibe here, it felt so cozy and homie- it's def not the nicest and boujeest bar ever but it was comfy, casual and fun; like I felt like I've been here before.

Staff were super friendly and music was a bit loud but I enjoyed hanging out here for a couple of hours on Friday night!

If you are looking for some casual bar that you dont have to super dressed up, I def recommend Rudy's! and dont' forget to check-in and get your free hot dog hehe!

Come here to fall into a black hole of alcohol, hot dogs, locals, and wierdos. Never come here thinking you will have just "one drink." And if someone said that to you then tell that person I said he/she is a bald faced liar. Rudy's is one of the most legit neighborhood bars I have come across. Best of all, drinks are cheap and you get free hot dogs with them! We're talking beers running between $3-$6, pitchers between $8-$20, $4 shots, and well drinks between $7-$10. And these are regular prices, no happy hours needed.

Here's your quick walk-through. This is a dive bar in all senses of the word. It ain't pretty, it's for drinking. Don't have high expectations beyond that. When you open the door a nice humid musty air hits you along with the sound of a lively crowd. There's a bouncer at the front late nights and weekends so have your ID ready just in case.

There are bar stools and a bunch of couches along the wall with the upholstery either held together by red electrical tape or made out of it. I haven't figured that out yet. Also, sit where you want. If you see two open seats near someone just plop down, introduce yourself, tell your worst joke, and forcibly make new friends. Only newbies think they can Bogart a whole table.

The bartenders are cool. The one young bald guy I always see there doesn't chat much but he is cordial and makes drinks quick which is really all that matters.

There's a jukebox and sound system in the main room where people play all types of different music. Expect a very eclectic selection.

There is a back area with more table seating, bathrooms, and a huge screen to watch games on. This area is enclosed but whoever made the roofing for the enclosure must not have passed architecture 101 because it is tilted inwards so when it rains water pours right into the seating area. Go figure.

The best part of all is that literally everytime I go here I leave with a funny story to tell or meet some very interesting character(s). This only happens after you are about 4 drinks in, so be patient and wait for it.

If you want a fun and frugal time with a very cool drunken crowd then this is one of the best spots in Hell's Kitchen to make that happen.

Disgustingly rude bouncer spit or threw his gum at my girl friend. All I saw was gum flying from him and towards her face.

As the bar was closing down, they made everyone leave who didn't have a drink. My two friends had drinks, I did not, and so we were split up. I was waiting for them outside (the only woman), but it was taking a while. I tried to go back in and explained that I was alone outside surrounded by men and I needed to get in touch with my friends. When one of my friends noticed, she went over to talk to the bouncer and he started pushing her outside. As we were waiting for our other friend, the bouncer unprovoked threw or spit his gum at her face. It was utterly disgusting and disrespectful.

My absolute favorite bar. $3 beers? $15 pitchers? Every drink comes with a hotdog?! This place is heaven. Small space inside but has a nice backyard that's outdoors with tables. Indoors has tables too but those are full quick. Standing room is difficult to find Thurs-Sat too.
This bar is divey but also attracts newcomers. So you lll get a mix of old guys that are regulars and some college students or men in button-downs. Regardless, it's always very social place. You'll enjoy yourself.

This is one of those local bars that feels local even to an out of towner.  Vintage feel. Local beer and with every beer you can get a hot dog !  Genius! Good vibe inside but some added outdoor seating.  Definitely put this on the list for a late night stop!
